CHOCONUT STAFF
Camp Choconut Director John Bauer developed a love for the outdoors as a
Boy Scout over 30 years ago and has made it a priority to be in the woods
and on the water all his life. He spent most of his career in media and communications
and will use those skills to help campers and counselors become more caring
and self-assured.

He has also worked as a Stowe Host, a volunteer teacher and as a Snowshoe
Guide in Vermont. As a parent, he understands the importance of providing
a warm, safe haven for children to make friends, build skills and have fun.
He decided to revive Camp Choconut because of the strong support and invaluable
advice of many alumni of the old camp, as well as the mentorship of former
director, Ham Horne.
"I know that the memories and friendships each camper makes at Camp Choconut
will last a lifetime and help him grow into a happy, productive and successful
adult."
He is a member of the American Camp Association.
John is currently seeking counselors and other camp staff for the 2008 season.
